Join us for this unique Homeschool Wheel Throwing Experience for ages 11-17 years. Students will learn the fundamentals of pottery through the use of the pottery wheel. Students will be guided by our experienced instructors from introduction of tools, wedging and preparing clay, centering clay, opening, compressing and pulling walls. As the students progress together they will develop skills to create various functional forms such as cups, mugs, bowls, and more! Not only will they develop artistic skill, but improve fine motor skills, increase focus and patience, improve problem solving, spatial awareness, engage in stress relief and mindfulness, sensory awareness, and self-expression.
