Refine your pottery skills in this three-week intermediate series dedicated to creating lidded forms. Designed for potters with prior wheel-throwing experience, this class will help you explore new techniques and unlock your creativity.
With 9 pounds of clay included, you’ll have the freedom to create a set of jars, choosing whether to make them all the same size or vary their dimensions. Demonstrations will cover a variety of techniques for crafting functional and aesthetically pleasing lids, ensuring a perfect fit for each jar.
In addition to the structured class sessions, participants will receive two hours of free open studio time to practice or refine their pieces between classes. (Clay to be purchased separately whe n using open studio)
Whether you’re creating a cohesive set or experimenting with different forms and sizes, this class is the perfect opportunity to expand your wheel-throwing skills while learning how to create beautiful and functional lidded pieces.
Prerequisite: Prior experience with wheel throwing is required.
